There are various methods for glass thermometer calibration, and common methods include fixed-point calibration method and comparison method.

The fixed-point calibration method is to immerse the temperature-sensitive part of the thermometer into a constant temperature bath with known temperature, and read the thermometer after its reading is stable. For example, immersing the thermometer into ice water mixture, the reading of the thermometer should be 0℃; immersing the thermometer into boiling water, the reading of the thermometer should be 100℃. Calibrate the thermometer through these known temperature points.

The comparison method is to compare the thermometer to be calibrated with a standard thermometer. Place both into the same temperature environment and observe the difference in their readings. If the reading of the thermometer to be calibrated has a large deviation from that of the standard thermometer, it needs to be adjusted.

In addition, some professional calibration equipment such as high-precision constant temperature baths and temperature calibrators can be used. These equipment can provide more accurate temperature environments, thus improving the accuracy of calibration.

When calibrating glass thermometers, it is necessary to pay attention to choosing appropriate calibration methods and calibration equipment to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the calibration process.
