The operation process of temperature calibration usually includes three main steps: preparation, calibration process, and calibration result processing.
In the preparation stage, first, select the appropriate standard thermometer and calibration equipment. The accuracy of the standard thermometer should be higher than that of the thermometer to be calibrated, and its measurement range should cover the commonly used measurement range of the thermometer to be calibrated. Calibration equipment such as constant - temperature baths and temperature calibrators should ensure stable and reliable performance. At the same time, conduct an appearance inspection of the thermometer to be calibrated to ensure that it is not damaged.
During the calibration process, place the standard thermometer and the thermometer to be calibrated into the calibration equipment at the same time, and heat up or cool down according to the set temperature points. After each temperature point is stable, read and record the readings of the standard thermometer and the thermometer to be calibrated. Generally, multiple temperature points will be selected for calibration to comprehensively evaluate the performance of the thermometer to be calibrated.
When processing the calibration results, calculate the error of the thermometer to be calibrated at each temperature point based on the recorded data. If the error is within the allowable range, the thermometer can continue to be used; if the error exceeds the allowable range, the thermometer needs to be adjusted or repaired and then recalibrated. Finally, record and archive the calibration results for subsequent query and traceability.
