Faults are inevitable during thermocouple calibration, and rapid and accurate fault diagnosis and emergency treatment are crucial. Common faults such as abnormal thermoelectric potential output may result from broken, short-circuited or poorly contacted thermocouple wires. At this time, use a professional resistance measuring instrument to detect the resistance of the thermocouple loop. If the resistance value deviates from the normal range, combined with an appearance inspection, the fault type can be quickly judged.
Once diagnosed, immediately start emergency treatment. For a broken wire, replace the thermocouple with the same model in time; for a short-circuit problem, locate the short-circuit point and clean the insulation layer; for poor contact, re-tighten the connection part. Meanwhile, establish a fault database, record the details of each fault, treatment measures and recovery time, providing a reference for subsequent similar fault and ensuring the continuity and high efficiency of the calibration work.
