Comparison Calibration Method
Principle: Connect the calibrated pressure gauge and the standard pressure gauge to the same pressure source simultaneously, and determine the error of the calibrated pressure gauge by comparing the indicated values of the two under the same pressure. This method is simple and intuitive and is one of the commonly used calibration methods.
Operation points: Ensure the stability of the pressure source, slowly increase and decrease the pressure, read the values of the standard pressure gauge and the calibrated pressure gauge at different pressure points and record them.
Piston Gauge Calibration Method
Principle: Use a piston gauge to generate an accurate pressure value and apply it to the calibrated pressure gauge. Calculate the standard pressure value according to the parameters such as the area of the piston and the mass of the weight, and compare it with the indicated value of the calibrated pressure gauge.
Operation points: Correctly install the piston gauge, select the appropriate piston and weight, load and unload according to the operating procedures, and accurately measure and record the relevant data.
Preparation Work
Select an appropriate standard pressure gauge, and its accuracy should be at least one level higher than that of the calibrated pressure gauge.
Check the appearance of the calibration equipment and the calibrated pressure gauge to ensure no damage, flexible pointer, etc.
Prepare the connecting pipelines, joints and other accessories.
Installation and Connection
Correctly connect the standard pressure gauge and the calibrated pressure gauge to the pressure source through the connecting pipeline, pay attention to the sealing of the connection to avoid leakage.
Debugging the Pressure Source
Turn on the pressure source, slowly adjust the pressure to gradually rise from zero to full scale, and then slowly decrease to zero, repeat several times to exclude the air in the pipeline and ensure the stability of the pressure source.
Calibration Measurement
At the specified calibration points (such as 0%, 25%, 50%, 75%, 100% of the range), after stabilizing the pressure, simultaneously read the indicated values of the standard pressure gauge and the calibrated pressure gauge and record them.
Calculate the error at each calibration point, error = indicated value of the calibrated pressure gauge - indicated value of the standard pressure gauge.
Data Analysis and Processing
According to the calculated error, judge whether the calibrated pressure gauge meets the accuracy requirements. If the error exceeds the allowable range, it needs to be adjusted or repaired.
Sort and record the calibration data, fill in the calibration report, including the model, number, calibration date, calibration result and other information of the pressure gauge.
Ending Work
Turn off the pressure source, disassemble the connecting pipeline and the pressure gauge.
Properly store the calibration equipment and the calibrated pressure gauge, and make markings and records.
