The first step is to prepare the dry block calibrator, the calibrated thermocouple, the standard thermometer, and the data recording device. Connect the power supply of the dry block calibrator and set the initial temperature according to the manual. Wait for the dry block calibrator to heat up to the set temperature and stabilize. During this process, the temperature display on the dry block calibrator can be observed. After stabilization, carefully insert the thermocouple into the jack of the dry block calibrator, paying attention to the insertion depth and angle. Wait for a period of time after insertion to make the thermocouple reach temperature equilibrium with the inside of the dry block calibrator. Then, use the standard thermometer to measure the actual temperature of the dry block calibrator and record the reading of the thermocouple. Next, change the set temperature of the dry block calibrator and repeat the above operations to measure and record at multiple temperature points. Finally, calculate the error of the thermocouple according to the recorded data and judge whether it is within the allowable range.
