Before starting the calibration of temperature switches, thorough and meticulous preparations are the cornerstone to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of calibration. Firstly, it is necessary to gather suitable calibration instruments, including a standard thermometer that has been strictly calibrated and meets the accuracy requirements, whose accuracy should be much higher than that of the temperature switch to be calibrated, thus ensuring the reliability of the measurement benchmark; a high-precision thermostatic bath is indispensable as it can create a stable and precisely controllable temperature environment to simulate temperature changes under different working conditions; data recording equipment, such as a professional data acquisition instrument, is used to capture the action information of the temperature switch and the corresponding temperature values in real time, ensuring the integrity and traceability of the data.

Secondly, the environmental conditions of the calibration site should be strictly controlled. The relative stability of the temperature needs to be maintained. Ideally, the temperature fluctuation range should be controlled within a very small interval, and the humidity should also be appropriate to avoid interference of environmental factors with the calibration results. Moreover, the operator needs to familiarize himself/herself with the technical specifications, working principle and calibration process of the temperature switch in advance, carefully read the product manual, and make contingency plans for possible special situations, such as the sensitivity changes of some temperature switches within a specific temperature interval. At the same time, prepare necessary tools for cleaning the contacts of the temperature switch and tightening the connection parts to prevent measurement deviations caused by poor contact or loosening, paving a smooth way for the upcoming calibration work.
