Common Problems and Solutions in Temperature Switch Calibration

During the temperature switch calibration process, many thorny problems often arise. Firstly, temperature overshoot frequently occurs. That is, when the thermostatic bath heats up or cools down, the actual temperature exceeds the preset target temperature, which may cause the temperature switch to act at an unexpected temperature, seriously interfering with the accuracy of the calibration. The solution is to optimize the control parameters of the thermostatic bath and adopt more advanced temperature control algorithms, such as PID control, to finely adjust the heating or cooling power to ensure a smooth temperature transition and accurately approach the target value to avoid overshoot.

Secondly, the problem of poor contact of the temperature switch cannot be ignored. During calibration, if the contacts of the temperature switch are oxidized, dirty, or the connecting wires are loose, the signal transmission will be blocked, the measurement data will jump or be lost, affecting the judgment of its operating temperature. In this regard, it is necessary to clean the contacts of the temperature switch regularly, use professional electronic cleaners to remove oxides and dirt, and carefully check the connecting wires and reinforce the loose parts to ensure the stability and reliability of the electrical connection.

Thirdly, poor repeatability of calibration data is also a major headache. This may stem from inconsistent operator techniques, unstable performance of calibration equipment, or poor repeatability of the temperature switch itself. For the operator factor, training should be strengthened and the operation process should be standardized, requiring that the force, speed, etc. of each operation be kept as consistent as possible; for calibration equipment, regular maintenance and calibration should be carried out to ensure its consistent performance; if the problem of the temperature switch itself is suspected, a new device of the same model can be replaced for a comparison test to troubleshoot the root cause of the fault. Through these targeted measures, the repeatability of calibration data can be improved and the calibration quality can be ensured.
